ARTIST STATEMENT
Cluessa is an interdisciplinary artist exploring personal mythology through sculptural reactions composed of traces of the artist’s body, the natural world, synthetic materials & imagined forms. Drawings are dreamscapes which document immediate emotions and intersecting storytelling tropes – always considering Feminist Film Theory and body horror. Cluessa pursues a greater understanding of the amalgamation that makes it hard to love oneself and others, embrace reflections, and to defend that which might destroy us.
